Nordstrom Sale Haul

Happy Monday everyone! I hope your day was as easy as a Monday can possibly be. Today’s post is sharing my Nordstrom Sale Haul picks with you. Now unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably seen something about this sale everywhere. I know I’m a little late to the party, but you have the rest of the week to shop the sale so you might as well take advantage! Let’s be honest, spring/summer fashion is definitely not my favorite. I’m definitely more of a fall/winter girl. I love wearing my sweaters, scarves, boots, etc. I basically only picked up items to rock in the cooler months, but I’m totally fine with that. Below I’ve got a try-on picture for all of my items, hope you enjoy! Let me know in the comments if you’ve scored anything from the sale!

Floral T-Shirt

I got this amazing floral embroidered top a couple of weeks ago and I can’t stop wearing it. It’s the perfect shirt for spring/summer, although don’t expect me to stop wearing it when it gets cold, a sweater will pair nicely with it as well. The floral embroidery spices up an otherwise simple shirt. You can dress it up with a skirt or black pants and heels or you can dress it down like I did with jeans and slides or sandals.

Y’all I go in such phases of being an avid blogger! I wish I were better at taking the time to do it, but unfortunately I’m not! I can’t believe this  year is almost over! Maybe 2017 will be better for blogging! 😉

Today’s look is one of my faves of course, because it’s all black. I am all about wearing black. I would wear it everyday, #sorrynotsorry. There’s something about it that is so chic and put together. You could make endless outfit combinations really. I chose to go a little dressier for this one, but you could change one little thing about it and make the whole vibe completely different.

I actually borrowed the booties from my friend/photographer Chelsea, so I’m just linking some similar ones! Hope you enjoy the outfit! Let me know in the comments if you love all black as much as me or if it’s not your style!

Over The Knee Boots OOTD

Is anyone else obsessing about over the knee boots this season? I wasn’t sure if I felt like I could pull off a pair or not, but I love these! I will say though that they are hard to get on and off since there is no zipper or anything. But they are so cute, right?! There is barely a heel so they are really comfortable and oh-so-stylish! I got the burgundy pair since I don’t have any shoes in that color and I thought they would be perfect for fall. I think I probably need a black pair too though so I can match with more outfits! The rest of the outfit is pretty simple — matching top (with a cute back that you will see below), black jeans, and a cute crossbody bag! Let me know what you think about that trend in the comments! Hope everyone has had a good week so far! 🙂

October 2016 Favorites

It feels really good getting back into blogging! I don’t have time to do it everyday like I used to, but I’m excited about some posts I have coming up! But today, I’ve got my October favorites for you! I’m excited about what I have to show you and hope you enjoy! Let me know in the comments what your favorites have been so I can check them out!

Thierry Mugler “Alien” Perfume – This perfume is so good! It’s all I’ve been wearing since I got it. It’s not as “warm” of a scent that I would usually gravitate towards, but I really like it. I’m not good at describing scents so you’ll just have to smell it for yourself!

Too Faced Born This Way Foundation – This foundation is so great! It looks super natural, but I love how it covers! I just feel like my face looks really flawless when I wear this!

Covergirl Outlast Stay Luminous Foundation – This foundation is also really great! I have skin on the drier side, so this gives me the perfect amount of hydration and dewiness. It wouldn’t be that great for oily skin, but if you have dry skin you would probably really enjoy! & it’s drugstore, so it’s affordable!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Stick Foundation – This is a foundation I was interested in trying, but a little leery on it too. I have super dry skin and this was targeted more for oily skin, but I decided to try it anyway. I apply some and then spray my face with a facial spray and then use my beauty blender so that it helps with the dryness a little more. It’s really good for days when I don’t want to be glam, but I do want a little coverage.

Lorac Pro Palette 3 – I have all of the Lorac Pro Palettes and really enjoy them all. This palette is nothing super special, but I have really been enjoying the colors. I can create so many neutral looks and there are some really nice smokier colors in it as well. Of course you get bang for your buck with all of the endless looks you can create using the matte and shimmer.

Josie Maran Argan Oil – This product is nothing new, but I have recently started using it again. I mix it with my moisturizer every morning! Now that it’s getting colder outside, my skin is so flaky! This is perfect to help it out!

Becca Backlight Priming Filter – I just recently picked up this primer and it’s perfect for my dry skin. It’s light but it leaves your skin glowing! I’ve not really noticed it “blurring imperfections” but it does make your skin look good!

Becca Highlighter in “Champagne Pop” – So I feel like I’m probably the last beauty junkie on earth to try this highlighter. I have a couple of other Becca highlighters and they are fantastic. This one by Jaclyn Hill is no different! It’s a gorgeous gold shade and looks so pretty on the skin!

Becca Blushes in “Wild Honey” & “Songbird” – I’m a sucker for neutral blushes and these two are perfect! I’m not super into pink shades, but a good neutral brown or bronze shade makes me happy. These are both gorgeous colors that you should try if you haven’t already! Songbird is more of a bronzey, shimmery orange and Wild Honey is more of a matte brown shade.

MAC Lipstick in “Whirl” – Since so many things from the 90’s are coming back in style, it’s no surprise that this lipstick fits the bill. This is just a brown color, but it’s beautiful. It’s one of my new favorites!

Forever 21 Brown Suede Booties – These booties are PERFECT for fall! I had been looking for shoes like this for a year or so and finally found them. I know the quality isn’t as good as more expensive or luxurious brands, but they are so affordable so you really can’t go wrong! They will go with everything this season!

Kate Spade Handbag/Wallet – I’m a sucker for any handbag that’s got Kate Spade’s name on it. I have several now in my collection and this one is going to be a staple for fall/winter. It’s big, but not too big, which I really like. It’s got plenty of room for anything I need and looks so stylish!

Nike Tennis Shoes (similar) – I hadn’t owned a pair of tennis shoes for about 10 years. I just honestly have no reason to wear them. But I started feeling like I needed some and I love these from Nordstrom! They are super simple and chic looking. They go with everything and will be worn a lot!

ASOS Choker Necklaces (thin band/thick band) – So unless you’ve been hiding under a rock for the last several months, you know that choker neckalces are totally in. I LOVE that they are back on trend. There’s something so edgy and sexy about pairing your outfit with a choker necklace. I like the thinner band and the thicker band for different outfit pairings.

Kate Spade Earrings (glitter studs/gumdrop studs) – I am pretty much obsessed with these glittery studs and I have several colors! I also love these other studs that are just crystal looking. They go with everything and are so cute! You can’t go wrong by picking up a pair!
